The Role
The OHS Officer supports a safe, healthy and legally compliant workplace by coordinating risk management, incident prevention, and continuous improvement of safety systems. Key responsibilities include:
Maintain and improve WHS management systems (Assura)
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments and site audits
Lead investigations and corrective actions
Coordinate WHS training and onboarding
Promote proactive safety culture and stakeholder engagement
Support injury management and return to work processes
Support the development, implementation and evaluation of WHS policies, procedures and management systems
Prepare professional WHS reports, documentation and recommendations
The Person
You will be qualified with a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum and desirably a Diploma of WHS, industry WHS training. With proven strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements you will be able to manage WHS systems and risk management frameworks. You will have experience with gaining stakeholder buy in and an ability to influence and coach leaders through your strong communication and investigation skills.
