Role and Location
Asset Inspection Officer – Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Carry out defects and condition inspections for Council assets, including updating asset management systems.
Qualifications and Skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Engineering or Project Management or relevant discipline and/or relevant industry experience in asset management.
* Demonstrated experience in applying asset management principles and practices, including undertaking asset condition assessments.
* Highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to communicate and work collaboratively with different stakeholders including professionals, industry, community, agencies and government groups.
* Working knowledge of, and demonstrated commitment to, Work Health & Safety.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, IPWEA practice notes and Building codes in relation to asset inspection and investigation.
* Commitment to living values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.
