A leading and highly respected Building Services Consultancy in Melbourne is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical BIM Lead to join their dynamic team.

About the Role
As the Electrical BIM Lead, you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of electrical building services projects across various sectors (e.g., commercial, health, education, residential).
You will be responsible for setting the BIM standards for the electrical discipline, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the quality and integrity of all electrical BIM models.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Electrical BIM Execution Plan and associated workflows.
Lead the production of high-quality, coordinated Revit models for electrical services, including power, lighting, security, and comms.
Ensure all models comply with company, client, and industry standards (e.g., ISO *****, local Australian standards).
Perform and manage clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (Mechanical, Hydraulics, Architectural, Structural).
Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to the electrical engineering and drafting team on BIM best practices and software usage.
Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related communications for the electrical discipline on projects.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the consultancy's overall BIM capabilities and digital delivery strategies.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong blend of technical expertise in electrical engineering and advanced proficiency in BIM technology.
Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in a Building Services environment, with a significant focus on BIM coordination and management.
Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP (specifically Electrical content creation and modeling).
Solid understanding of Australian Electrical Standards and NCC requirements as they relate to building services design.
Proven experience in Navisworks Manage for clash detection and model federation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex BIM concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Drafting/Design.
Experience with Dynamo or other computational design tools.
Familiarity with CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Aconex).
Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
