Arrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a mid-sized manufacturer on the east side of Cleveland with filling an HR Manager position.
Responsibilities:
* Motivation, i.e., helping our company succeed within Job Classification Responsibilities
* Plan/conduct Employee Orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals
* Responsible for instituting a performance-based culture through meaningful goal setting and performance evaluation process. Partner with Company management to drive this culture
* Employee Relations Management Process - Responsible for investigating issues/complaints and recommending solutions in accordance with Company policy and practice
* Create Job Descriptions
* Responsible for managing the recruitment process to include sourcing, screening/interviewing, the offer process and onboarding of new hires
* Administer benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, 401(k) plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
* Keep records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and 401(k) plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
* Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
* Assure consistency of Plant human resource practices within Company guidelines
* Assist Plant Management in proposing policies relative to human resources
* Update and publish the Employee Handbook
* Coordinate Management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, affirmative action, and workplace harassment
* Partner with Plant Management to ensure all employees are properly trained in their respective positions
* Coordinate accident investigations and prepare reports for TPA, MCO, BWC and OSHA
* Analyze wage and salary reports and data to propose competitive compensation plan to Plant Management
* Coordinate performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
* Prepare reports within the HRIS and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
* Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments at the facility
* Administer EEO, FMLA, ADA and Workers' Compensation programs
* Special projects as required
* Understand and follow all Company Procedures pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures
* Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to company and customer requirements
* Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers
* Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to company and Regulatory requirement
* Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance
* Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance
* Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-related questions or suggestions, and how initiate continual improvements

* Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational abilities

* Experience working with local regulatory agencies preferred.

* Ability to be on-call or work off-hours as needed
Education:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
* 5+ years' progressive experience in an HR Management Role within a manufacturing environment
* Experience with processing/managing payroll
* Working knowledge with HRIS systems
* Highly functional in using Microsoft Office
