About the role
This is a physical, hands-on role based at our concrete sleeper manufacturing site. You’ll be part of the core team involved in the daily process of making our concrete sleepers. This is a casual position with full-time hours, offering steady work for the right person with the potential for long-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare sleeper molds with steel reinforcement and release agents
* Assist with concrete pours and ensure a smooth, clean finish
* Demold and safely flip cured concrete sleepers (requires moderate to heavy lifting)
* Clean and reset molds for the next production cycle
* (If licensed) Operate a forklift to move and stake completed sleepers
* Conduct quality checks to ensure sleepers meet standards
Essential Skills
* Experience in concrete, construction, or trades such as carpentry
* Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and manual labor
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to high work standards
* Hold a valid manual car driver's license
* Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
Preferred Experience
* Forklift license or relevant experience
* A valid heavy rigid truck license
* Experience operating machinery such as an excavator or skid steer (bobcat)
