About the role This role provides expert clinical care, leadership, and education in the management of diabetes across inpatient and outpatient settings. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to provide evidence-based, clinically sound and holistic patient care in partnership with clients and their families and other health professionals. Take an extended leadership role in the coordination of nursing and health care within and across different care contexts to facilitate optimal health outcomes. Triage referrals, manage waitlists and lead multidisciplinary meetings, while collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders. Practice independently and interdependently with an extended scope of practice, autonomy and decision making, assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and delegation of care to registered nurses, enrolled nurses and health care workers About you Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least three years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team at a senior level. Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) status with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA). Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse. Why work at St Vincent’s?
