As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing timely and commercially focused legal advice to drive business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering actionable legal insights across various business matters
* Drafting, negotiating, and advising on contracts for goods, services, consultancy, leases, and IT
* Promoting compliance with legislative and contractual obligations
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks
* Liaising with external counsel on complex legal issues
* Assisting in developing policies, procedures, and training on legal matters
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in-house as a solicitor
* Strong expertise in drafting and advising on a broad range of contractual and commercial matters
* Employment law and litigation experience is highly desirable
* Admission to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria
* Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
* High level of computer literacy and attention to detail
