About the role
Eacham Medical Centre is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team in Malanda, QLD. This role will provide reception and administrative support to our busy general practice, working on a casual basis to cover shifts as needed. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our patients have a positive experience when visiting the clinic.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients in a courteous and professional manner
* Efficiently managing patient bookings, including scheduling appointments and rescheduling as required
* Providing excellent customer service to patients, both in person and over the phone
* Handling cash, EFTPOS and Medicare transactions
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Assisting with general office administration tasks as required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception role, with excellent customer service skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to liaise effectively with patients, clinicians and other team members
* Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office software
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a casual schedule
