We are seeking a dynamic
Construction Manager
to play a pivotal role in the comprehensive management of construction projects from initiation through delivery. This includes developing and executing detailed project plans, programs, budgets, and forecasts. This proactive role ensures all activities adhere to established project management principles, governance frameworks, and organisational objectives.
Additionally, you will provide strategic oversight to maintain timelines, optimise resources, and mitigate risks, while fostering collaboration across stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. This position is influential in driving a robust HSEQ culture throughout service delivery, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across all operational activities.

As the Construction Manager with Energy Bay's Construction division, you will oversee:
* Quality Management: Deliver all services to Energy Bay quality standards with zero defects, achieve a 'Right First Time' rate of 95% or higher, and continuously improve work instructions to minimise waste and rework.
* Schedule Delivery: Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with client delivery requirements; ensure resource allocation and workforce organisation to meet milestones; manage team size and productivity to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets."
* Financial Management: Ensure adherence to Energy Bay financial authority and procedures, ensure effective resource utilisation to maximise profitability and operational returns
* Maintain accurate regional cost-to-complete forecasts and align all Construction Partner costs and payments with delivered services.
* Commercial Management: Ensure teams understand contractual rights and obligations, maintain compliance on variations, time, and claims within required timeframes, and manage Construction Partners in line with agreed rates, contract requirements, and standard subcontract terms.
* Reporting & Escalation: Align the project team with objectives and progress, escalate issues promptly with improvement plans, and provide clear, timely reporting to keep management fully informed.
* Client Management: Manage day-to-day engagement with client project teams, communicate effectively to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, and ensure clients have clear visibility of regional performance and confidence in delivery."
* Training and Continuous Improvement: Implement field improvement actions to achieve Energy Bay's 'Right First Time' quality goal, while providing daily supervision and mentoring to Construction Partners and technicians.
* People Leadership: Build a high-performance, collaborative team aligned with Energy Bay's goals, fostering clear communication, professional representation, and active participation while championing company mission and values.
* Safety Excellence: Embed Energy Bay's HSEQ culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards, ISO systems, and site procedures. Additionally, promote safe behaviours, enforce hazard reporting, and achieve zero non-conformances through audits and inspections."
You Will Be Successful In The Role If You
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Civil Works, Project Management or Business Management preferred.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing Construction Partners with a strong track record in civil works, including excavation, concrete, and asset locating.
* Demonstrated a strong and highly regarded track record within the solar and solar farm industry, with proven capability in delivering high quality outcomes across complex, large scale renewable energy projects (highly regarded).
* Deep knowledge of Civil and BESS projects, structural standards, and regulatory compliance.
* Proven experience in quality assurance within civil and BESS sectors, combined with proficiency in project management tools and systems.
* Demonstrates exceptional ability to influence and negotiate to achieve strategic outcomes.
* Excellent organisational skills written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Builds and nurtures effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
* Thrives in high-pressure environments, with a proven ability to pivot and work in an agile workplaces onsite and in corporate offices.
* Maintains a customer-centric mindset, delivering high-quality, service-oriented results.
