Your new role
As the Senior HR Advisor (Policy), you'll play a key role in developing and delivering strategic HR and workplace relations policies. Working within a dedicated Workplace Relations team, you'll consult with stakeholders across the agency, the APS, and state and territory jurisdictions to support workforce priorities.
You'll be responsible for:
* Researching and analysing complex HR policy and legislative issues
* Providing expert policy advice and recommendations under tight timeframes
* Supporting the implementation of the organisation's Enterprise Agreement
* Preparing reports, briefs, and correspondence for internal and government use
* Providing secretariat support to the National Consultative Committee
* Engaging with key stakeholders including unions and agency delegates
What you'll need to succeed
All applicants must be Australian citizens to be considered. Baseline clearance highly desirable.
* Strong technical knowledge of HR policy, workplace relations, and employment legislation
* Proven experience in developing strategic HR frameworks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced research and analytical capabilities
* Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
* Experience in the APS enterprise bargaining process
* High level of initiative, judgement, and personal drive
