Procurement Specialist
This role is key to supporting the procurement requirements across the vessel lifecycle.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Apply commercial practices in a defence supply chain environment.
* Manage procurement from sourcing through to delivery, ensuring timely supply to meet the required schedule, scope and quality.
* Maintain data integrity of inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of program requirements.
* Ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain established stock levels.
* Support audit and quality assurance controls across the procurement function to ensure compliance with policy.
* Contribute to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting.
Requirements
* Practical experience in sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement and delivery management.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably within a defence environment.
* Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to effectively engage with suppliers and stakeholders. A strong understanding of commercial practices and procedures is also essential.
