We are seeking a Lead Contract & Business (Fleet & Equipment) to support in the service delivery of our Enterprise Services Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at South Melbourne in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Operational Fleet & Equipment, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

* In consultation with key stakeholders, proactively identify and initiate process improvement activities across fleet and equipment functions and activities, supporting the implementation of new business processes and models to support business and organisational needs whilst ensuring improvements to processes, productivity, quality, cost control and customer service
* Monitor and analyse relevant trends, providing management with information to improve decision making and general knowledge of internal and external factors that may impact fleet and equipment operations
* Contribute to the development and implementation of a fleet replacement program that delivers the best operational and commercial outcome to AV
* Prepare, contribute and support the development of complex fleet and equipment business cases, engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements, clearly documenting business impact and cost rational, including financial analysis
* Provide strong and effective leadership to direct reports by fostering a culture of professional development, leadership and continuous improvement

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience in a business or related discipline. Other requirements include:

* Broad background with substantial business and management experience, including experience in the management of contracts
* Proven experience in undertaking business analysis and driving and implementing process and business improvement activities
* Knowledge of Victorian Government Purchasing Board Guidelines
* Strong analysis skills including significant experience in preparing, reporting and monitoring budgets
* Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills to gain the acceptance and support of ideas, cooperation of others, and the ability to modify styles and techniques to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
