What your day could look like
As a Peer Support Worker, you'll help create an environment where people feel safe, heard and supported as they work towards recovery. You'll use your own lived experience to build trust, reduce stigma and show that change is possible. Working closely with clinicians, families and community partners, you'll contribute to a service that champions courage, compassion and meaningful connection.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Encouraging honest conversations that help consumers feel understood and validated.
Working collaboratively with teams and community providers to strengthen recovery-oriented care.
Supporting individuals to recognise strengths, set personal goals and take empowering steps forward.
Offering insights and ideas that help shape service improvements and enhance consumer experience.

You're someone who leads with empathy, integrity and purpose. Personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence working within a multidisciplinary environment.
Basic digital literacy to manage information and support service activity.
You'll stand out if you have:
Experience in peer support, mental health or community work.
Understanding of the strengths and needs of regional communities.
