About the role
The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician (Renewals) is responsible for performing planned and corrective maintenance activities to HVAC plant and equipment in order to maintain West Moreton Health (WMH) facilities in a safe and functional condition, ensuring all work is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner to prescribed quality standards.
About you
- Proven high level trade skills maintaining HVAC systems in a complex health facility (or similar).
- Ability to prioritise works, projects, timeframes and manage costs, make responsible and accurate recommendations and produce an effective work output in terms of both quality and quantity without supervision.
- Ability to provide trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team, including training and mentoring apprentices.
- Ability to work effectively and safely as a member of a team or individually, and experience managing service contractors and/or interacting, communicating, and negotiating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Possess a sound knowledge of. or have the ability to acquire a sound knowledge of, applicable legislation and Australian Standards.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- This position requires a recognised Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualification and a Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
