Key Responsibilities:
* We are seeking an experienced Building Consultant to provide expert advice on all things related to building repairs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections of properties and buildings, identifying defects, evaluating compliance, and identifying liabilities in relevance to the project.
This role will suit candidates who have sound technical experience in building consultancy work (min 3+ years), strong commercial and business sense, excellent client relationships and communication skills, high motivation, responsibility, sound judgement and customer focus.
Key Requirements include:
* Experience in commercial and domestic building practices, understanding building regulations, codes, and standards.
* A genuine passion to assist in identifying and resolving site issues.
* Extensive technical building experience gained through a trade or site experience.
* You must be a registered building practitioner as an engineer, building inspector, building surveyor, quantity surveyor, or builder (commercial or domestic).
* A methodical and efficient approach to managing your time.
* Be well-presented, energetic, polite, and have a friendly attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, where you can interpret complex issues and distill them into actionable solutions.
* Strong ability to produce high-quality technical reports using Word and Excel.
* A valid and current drivers license.
