Project Overview:
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah – Riyadh highway.
Job Summary:
The Project Data Coordinator reports to the Project Information Manager and works within the Information and Digital (I&D) Automation discipline. The role works with Engineering staff to ensure compliance with their respective discipline data deliverable requirements and quantity tracking tasks. The role focuses on data quality and completeness within the Engineering applications as well as integrating 3D models together and enhancing with engineering and other functional data.
Major Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the role include:
* Work with the project information manager to develop the project automation plan, information management plan and related documentation
* Collaborates with Engineering disciplines to provide technical expertise on design applications, their implementation, customisation and integration with other functional applications
* Works with Engineering disciplines to facilitate Engineering data deliverables to procurement, startup and construction and promote compliance with EDP 3DP-G04H-00047
* Works with Bechtel I&D automation to document and implement the required Engineering design and analysis applications and data exchanges
* Works with the project design team to create federated 3D models based on specific requirements from each group and enhances these models by combining them with data from other systems
* Helps to develop the class library, master tag register and the tags to document relationships
* Implements PowerBI reporting on data completeness and quality (e.g. missing, incomplete or inconsistent data) and works with procurement, construction and start up functions to support Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) on the project
* Provides guidance and training in data management tools and the use of PowerBI reports to correct data quality and completeness issues
* Facilitates Engineering quantity tracking work process and QTT database and reporting tool
* Understands client data handover concepts and helps produce data handover documentation
* Reports to the Project Information Manager on information systems performance, data exchange status and issues resolution
* Produces job notes, instructions, training material and other documentation as necessary
* Resolves complex problems using a variety of tools and techniques
* Supports the development of an innovative culture on the project.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialised courses in Engineering, Information Systems or related fields, and/or extensive work experience in a STEM-related field .
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Strong ability to partner with project and client teams to review and understand end-to-end work processes and planning to support study and project execution
* Knowledge of data centric execution, data models and class libraries, BIM principals, and how they are applied to Engineering, procurement and construction work processes
* Able to translate technical information into practical terms for discussion and presentation to broad audiences
* Sound communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Experience in planning, set-up, configuration and support of Engineering design applications
* Understanding of Engineering design applications, data management and preparation of instructions, specifications and procedures
* Demonstrates a strong safety focus and value the development and maintenance of client relationships that clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
