Financial Leadership Role
Job Summary:
The Financial Director is responsible for leading all aspects of financial planning, management, compliance, and risk within the organisation.
They will provide high-quality financial forecasting, support business units with forecasting income, cost of sales, expenses, and labour requirements, and develop and maintain a financial reporting suite to support senior executives and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
* Develop financial models and analyse performance to improve decision-making and assess future risks and opportunities.
* Ensure a strategic approach to procurement to lower costs and maximise financial outcomes.
* Provide high-level strategic advice to senior executives and business leaders to support operational and strategic objectives.
* Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting to the business.
* Inform the development and implementation of comprehensive financial control policies and procedures, including credit control mechanisms and contract administration and retention strategies.
* Manage the organisation's cash position, ensuring sufficient liquidity is maintained to meet operational and strategic needs.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Requirements:
* CA/CPA qualified with significant experience in financial management in a similar or related industry.
* Expert understanding of accounting principles, financial modelling, and analytics.
* Ability to see the big picture and align financial strategy with business objectives.
* Clear and persuasive communication skills capable of engaging with a variety of users across operational and strategic levels.
* Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop a high-performing team.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex financial and operational challenges.
