Overview
Are you passionate about bringing stories to life through the power of visual storytelling? Do you have a keen eye for detail, exceptional creative skills, and a deep understanding of the video production process? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a driven and organised Creative Producer to join Sherpa, the creative production studio of global marketing network Hardie Grant Media. Based in our brand-new Collingwood office, you'll report into Sherpa's Studio Director and play a vital role in conceptualising, planning, and executing compelling video projects that will leave a lasting impact for the network's varied clients which include many well-known Australian brands working with content agency Heads & Tales, PR agency Tide Communications, and digital marketing agency Reload Media.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Studio Director to develop video concepts, storyboards, treatments, and scripts based on creative briefs and agreed communication goals.
* Manage the end-to-end video production process, including pre-production, filming, and post-production juggling multiple projects at any one time.
* Create and manage budgets for shoots of different scale.
* Coordinate and schedule video shoots, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
* Collaborate with and direct crew and talent on set to achieve the agreed creative vision.
* Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in video production to continually enhance our content quality.
* Partner with network agencies to support their growth and contribute to new business proposals.
* Polished client service skills, being able to navigate client relationships and complex projects with ease.
Qualifications
* Video production experience – videos storytelling and social content. You've had at least 5 to 7 years' experience working in an agency or production company managing projects and contributing to shaping ideas. You are experienced working with a range of key stakeholders and suppliers and are comfortable working as either an on-set producer, assistant director, or director on shoot day. With a genuine interest and appreciation for marketing communications and storytelling, you're driven to craft content that stands out on digital and social media.
* Client services and project management experience – You're highly organised, with sharp attention to detail. You know how to manage priorities and clients' expectations and remain consistent and respectful under pressure. You're proactive and anticipate client needs, while nurturing long-term relationships.
* Communication and presentation skills – You're confident, clear, and engaging with excellent written and verbal skills. You can sell creative ideas to clients and bring them to life with Canva, PowerPoint or Keynote, developing presentation decks that have wow factor.
* Business acumen – You have good business sense and a basic understanding of finance, budgeting, and operations. You also know how to budget your time and estimate work. You've worked on pitches, proposals and new business in the past and know how to jazz up an idea and make it land.
* Curiosity and a hunger to learn – You want to learn and grow, and regularly invest in yourself to stay ahead of the game. You challenge people with new ways of thinking and never settle for the status quo. You're the person who is challenging internal teams to consider how to embrace TikTok and have proactive ideas for how clients or brands can adopt the latest trends.
Skills for the job
* Passion and experience in video production with proven in studio and field producing/directing.
* Excellent production and post-production skills, with efficiency under tight deadlines.
* Comfort & skill interviewing and directing talent and working with creative partners.
* Proven experience presenting to clients and developing decks/presentations.
* Excellent team work and collaboration skills.
* Agency experience highly desirable.
