At McColl's, we're seeking a skilled Trade Assistant to join our team in Dennington, VIC. As a key member of our workshop team, you'll play a vital role in the servicing, repair, and fabrication of heavy vehicles and tankers.
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills who can support our experienced team with daily repairs and maintenance as required. Your tasks will include operating basic hand and power tools safely, performing general labouring duties, and transporting equipment to 3rd party service providers for repair and maintenance.
To be successful in this dynamic role, you will have a current Trade Certificate or equivalent labouring experience, and be capable of supporting transport operations processes by assisting the team to clear minor vehicle defects. You'll also have the ability to weld stainless steel (an advantage but not essential), perform Piper metering system calibration (training provided), and possess a general interest in the Transport Industry. A strong focus on doing the job safely and compliantly is a must.
