OUR FACILITIES:
Our company employs over 400 staff, across our growing national operations. Our main manufacturing and operations base is located at YATALA in Queensland (between the Gold Coast and Brisbane). We are only a 10-minute drive North of Dreamworld, on the M1 Motorway.
THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the QHSE Manager, the successful candidate will come from an accomplishedandprofessional Quality background. They will be a proactive and visible figure in our workplace, providing technical advice and assistance to company management:
* Ensuring ongoing compliance with our multi-Standard ISO 90001/14001/45001 Systems;
* Delivering a keen continual-improvement focus;
* Ensuring Key Customers remain satisfied with our company's ongoing Quality efforts.
Key duties for the role include:
* System/Process/Product audits as required by ISO Standards and Internal systems. Presenting findings of these audits to the company's Management Team, with recommendations for compliance, improvement and enhancement.
* Working collaboratively with the company's Quality Control and Production Teams to identify, root cause and rectify product or process issues.
* Delivering professional, concise and forward-driven reporting instruments to the company management group. (analytics, histories, trending, recommendations for improvement).
* Investigate Warranty complaints and provide countermeasures and liaise with customers.
The candidate we are seeking:
1. Possess a minimum of 5 years work experience in Quality EngineerorQA Professionalrole/s, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, aerospace or defence. Those successful in obtaining an interview may be asked to provide examples of their work in this regard.
2. Previous Trade background and hands on experience in a mechanical/engineering/manufacturing environment - highly regarded.
3. Qualifications and demonstrated experience auditing ISO 9001, ISO14001andISO45001 (TS/ highly regarded, but not essential).
4. Familiar with 8D or similar problem-solving processes, understanding of Six Sigma/statistics analysis with developed analytical and reporting skills and a history of reporting to management, external auditor and customers.
5. Be accomplished and conversant in the MS Suite of programs, with an emphasis on intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
6. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience building positive relationships with stakeholders.
7. Convey a positive, can-do attitude to work and assisting others.
8. Candidates must be available for work Monday to Friday, between 8:00am to 5:00pm.General hours for the position will be between 40-45 each week - times may be negotiated to some extent with the QHSE Manager.
