They are a leading civil contracting business with several live remote projects in WA and are seeking a competent and experienced civil Senior Project Engineer to join one of their major projects on FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth.
About The Role As the successful Senior Project Engineer you will work FIFO 2/1 ex-Perth (approximately 12 hour days) on a Pilbara WA project site which may be remote road construction (MRWA) or minesite earthworks/drainage projects, depending on the project needs.
This is a permanent role on civil scopes of work that will challenge your technical skills, allow you to demonstrate leadership, and provide a strong salary package.
On site you will plan and oversee progress of the contract, provide technical guidance to the site delivery team, guide junior Site Engineers and PEs, address technical queries, ensure QA adherence, manage subcontractors, track costs, and provide regular forecasting and progress reporting.
Preferred project types include minesite preparation earthworks, embankments, tailings dams, drainage, rail formation, haul & access roads, and major roadworks (MRWA).
Responsibilities Plan and oversee progress of the contract on site.
Provide technical guidance to the site delivery team and QA adherence.
Lead and mentor junior Site Engineers and Project Engineers.
Manage subcontractors and coordinate subsurface works as required.
Manage and track costs, and provide regular forecasting and progress reporting.
Support delivery of civil scopes of work including bulk earthworks and road/rail projects.
Skills, Experience And Other Requirements Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
Around 5–10 years post graduate experience as a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer for civil contractors in Australia.
Proven success in FIFO Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer roles on bulk earthworks/civils/roadworks in remote WA locations.
Project experience in WA on minesite bulk earthworks, tailings dams, drainage, rail formation, haul & access roads, embankments.
Stable employment tenure as PE or Senior Project Engineer on $50M+ civil scopes of work for civil contractors in Australia.
Excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills.
Perth/WA-based with existing work rights in Australia.
Available to start within four weeks' notice maximum.
Ability to supply two favourable references from within the last five years.
Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence.
Perks National contractor with major projects.
Permanent position, start November 25.
Lucrative package: circa $180-190K base + 40% uplift.
