Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and energetic teammates and will be primarily responsible for providing help desk operational support for our Next Generation Tram (NGT) contract liaising and coordinating both the State Operator and the Alstom Services team at our Maidstone facility and other sites across the network. We’ll look to you for the following activities:
* Coordinate and manage vehicle recovery within the Fleet Operations Centre (FOC), including peak period support and on-call technical assistance.
* Collaborate with mobile technical teams for fault diagnosis and recovery, and assist maintenance teams following approved manuals.
* Communicate vehicle status and technical updates to customers, management, and service leads, ensuring transparency and support.
* Deliver and attend training sessions for both internal staff and external stakeholders on diagnostics and equipment maintenance.
* Monitor and assess vehicle condition, ensuring compliance with contractual standards and analyzing performance trends (defects, reliability, availability).
* Generate technical reports and foster a collaborative work environment, while adhering to corporate policies including OH&S and quality standards.

* Electrical or Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
* 5 years of experience in LRV electrical and mechanical system, rolling stock equipment and maintenance including Fleet Operations.
* Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
* Strong technical ability for fault finding and troubleshooting
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence at all levels.
* Be a team player and have strong IT skills
