As a Residential Support Worker, you will deliver personalised support and guidance, fostering the development of independent life skills, assisting with emotional regulation, and providing opportunities for re-engagement in education and community activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Promoting and assisting young people to achieve their personal goals
* Supporting young people to develop independence and build positive relationships within their community
* Developing a rapport and collaborating effectively with young people to achieve positive outcomes
* Managing challenging behaviours and supporting young people to co-regulate emotionally
* Assisting young people with domestic duties and promoting healthy lifestyle habits
* Communicating with colleagues and reporting incidents promptly and accurately
Requirements include experience working with young people who have experienced trauma and neglect, highly effective interpersonal skills, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and relevant qualifications and certifications.
Suitable candidates will be required to undergo probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Department of Communities Check, and Working with Children Check.
