The Talent & Culture Advisor at Sofitel Brisbane Central provides a range of HR services both operational and strategic to coach and support leaders to effectively manage their workforce, and to assist them in building strong teams and drive a positive culture.
Reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture, you will be part of a high-performing team that cherishes and nurtures its people and encourages fresh ideas and positive change. You will work closely with managers and business leaders and assist with the supervision of the Talent & Culture Coordinator and department interns.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Be a trusted advisor, providing regular and timely advice to leaders and employees
- Work with managers to develop their recruitment and selection capability
- Build and maintain relationships with external training providers and suppliers
- Manage and administrate cloud-based systems such as for recognition, recruitment and training
- Facilitate and coordinate face to face and online training sessions
- Oversee the administration of apprentices, trainees, interns and work placements
- Plan and organise hotel engagement activities and events
- Promote the health, safety and welfare of employees through WH&S programs and activities
- Perform administrative duties to achieve an organised and compliant HR department.
**Skills and experience required**
- HR generalist experience with knowledge of IR and legislation
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Experience in implementing best practice HR processes and procedures
- Ability to motivate and coach others
- Excellent communication skills
- An efficient and proactive work style
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry preferred.
