About the Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the needs of participants with acquired brain injury, the Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision and management of specialised, high-quality Occupational Therapy services delivered within Brain Injury SA. Duties include:
* Managing and evaluating best practice.
* Maintaining high-level clinical standards in supervision of staff and students.
* Implementing innovative clinical practices.
The incumbent also assists the Team Leader in:
* Managing human and physical resources required to meet service demand.
* Developing and documenting systems to support quality and clinical standards.
* Providing advice and consultancy to service funders, management, and professional networks.
* Providing clinical and professional leadership to Occupational Therapists.
This position holds delegated pairing with Occupational Therapy Lead.
Qualifications / Registrations:
* Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Professional Registration with AHPRA.
* Home modifications/Equipment Prescription experience.
* Specialised assessment and report writing.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience specialising in neurology/brain injury or minimum 4 years’ experience in broad Occupational Therapy practice.
* Current (within the last 3 years) DCSI “Child related employment screening”.
* Experience working with adults with Acquired Brain Injury.
* Experience RTW service delivery/interest in employment rehabilitation.
* NDIS knowledge/experience.
* Driving assessment knowledge/experience.
* Experience supervising students and junior staff.

* Highly developed interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
