Are you passionate about supporting participants with a Neurodiverse disability to achieve their employment goals? Do you have experience or passion working with Youth? know or have experience working with people with disabilities in particular neurodiversity? We are looking for people with a genuine desire to empower participants to unlock their full potential to join our dedicated and dynamic team as an Employment Coach at our Northern hub located in Tea Tree Gully.

The Role

As a Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in assisting participants in securing and maintaining meaningful open employment. You will work one-on-one with participants, providing guidance, support, and practical assistance to help them navigate the world of work.

You will be a key advocate for participants with a neurodiverse disability, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and opportunities to thrive in their chosen career path.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement tailored employment support plans for NDIS participants.
* Provide one-on-one coaching, training, and support to participants to enhance their employability and workplace success.
* Work closely with employers to facilitate work experience, work trials and employment to ensure a successful transition, considering neurodiversity and unique needs.
* Identify and address any barriers to employment, providing strategies to overcome these challenges, including customised in work supports.
* Monitor participants' progress and adjust plans to ensure ongoing success and positive outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with NDIS participants, employers, and external stakeholders.
* Stay up-to-date with NDIS policies, procedures, and available resources to best support neurodiverse participants needs.

What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience in Employment services (Disability), social work, youth work (highly desirable) experience in a role working with people, ie: hospitality, retail, sales people with passion and empathy make great employment coaches (full training is provided!)
* Understanding of neurodiversity and how it impacts individuals particularly in relation to employment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, trust, and adapt your approach to the needs of neurodiverse participant.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering people with neurodiverse disability.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
* Able to navigate internal systems, reporting tools, think outside the box and follow instruction
* A positive attitude and a passion for making a difference in people's lives, especially for neurodiverse participants.
* Drivers licence and current clearance are mandatory
