Salary: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per annum 
The Agri-Technician will be responsible for providing technical support for cropping and livestock activities and will work closely with the Farm Managers and Agronomists to achieve optimal farming outcomes.

Responsibilities 
Soil Analysis and Preparation 
Conduct soil tests to assess soil quality and nutrient levels. 
Undertake appropriate measures to improve soil quality for optimal growing conditions. 
Prepare the soil by plowing, tilling and adding necessary amendments to create an optimal planting setting. 
Planting and Crop Establishment 
Coordinate and oversee the planting of crops, ensuring proper spacing and depth. 
Ensure timely planting according to the farm's schedule. 
Monitor seed quality and make recommendations for seed treatments if needed. 
Crop Maintenance 
Monitor crop health and identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. 
Implement pest and disease control strategies, including the application of pesticides or integrated pest management techniques. 
Apply fertilizers and nutrients as needed to support crop growth. 
Ensure proper weed control through various methods, such as herbicide application or manual removal. 
Harvest Planning and Execution 
Collaborate with farm management to plan the timing and logistics of harvest. 
Assist with the harvesting process, ensuring that it is carried out efficiently and with minimal losses. 
Equipment and Machinery Maintenance 
Maintain and repair farm equipment, including tractors, harvesters, etc. 
Conduct routine inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure safety. 
Livestock Health 
Monitor the health and welfare of cattle, identify and treat illnesses and injuries, administer vaccinations, monitor nutritional needs and implement preventative measures to keep the herd healthy. 
Animal Husbandry 
Assist with the management of breeding programs, including monitoring breeding cycles, administering veterinary medicine as required and assisting with the birthing process. 
Qualifications and Experience 
At least 3 years' experience
