About the role
Finn Motion Media is looking for a talented Video Editor/Camera Operator to join our team in Perth, WA on a part-time basis 3 days per week.
You'll be great in this role if

* You have a passion and knowledge for new and emerging filmmaking gear trends.
* You have shot in the Sony ecosystem of video cameras.
* You edit video in the Adobe ecosystem.
* You can demonstrate full videos you have shot and edited, not just a showreel of 2 second shots (though we want to see that too).
* You will spend most of your time editing, with opportunities to get out on shoots as well.
* You have your own reliable car and have relevant insurance to drive it for work purposes.
What industries and types of videos will you be working on
The commercial video content you could be working on includes interview, scripted promotional videos, social media videos, multi-cam live events, event highlights videos, advertising and more. You'll learn about a wide range of industries across sport, government, health, property, construction, corporate, education and media.
What you'll be doing
1. Editing raw video footage and incorporating graphics, music and other visual elements to produce high-quality, visually appealing videos.
2. Using Photoshop and After Effects to create graphics to bring in to final edits in Premiere Pro.
3. Operating Sony cameras to capture footage for a variety of projects, including corporate videos, events, interviews, commercials and social media content
4. Helping maintain our inventory of industry standard filmmaking equipment and editing systems.
5. Collaborating closely with the rest of the team to understand project requirements and turn them into compelling videos.
6. Ensuring video projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a video editor and camera operator, with a strong portfolio of work
2. The right candidate for this role would have at least 2 years experience outside of a Film and TV university or TAFE course or demonstrate creative potential and the ability to learn on the job.
3. Proficiency in Premiere Pro is required with the ability to work in After Effects and Photoshop as well.
4. Technical skills in camera operation, lighting and audio recording, preferably having used Sony FX6 and A7s3 camera systems.
5. Strong creative flair and the ability to bring ideas to the videos.
6. Being able to work to tight deadlines is a must.
7. The ability to learn, but also know when to contribute ideas and work effectively as part of a team
