We are a small, fast-paced family-run painting company committed to quality service and professionalism. As we grow, we're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administration Officer to join our team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
About the Role
This is a flexible position offering either permanent part-time or casual employment (depending on the successful applicant). The role is perfect for someone looking to work school hours or needing flexibility during the week.
You’ll be the key point of contact in the office — coordinating schedules, managing admin tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between tradespeople, clients, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and manage daily communications
- Schedule jobs and coordinate availability with trades and contractors
- Track work orders and follow up on outstanding tasks
- Maintain accurate records, files, and internal systems
- Provide admin support to the Managing Director and Office Manager
- Look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
What You’ll Bring
- Previous admin experience (construction or painting industry preferred)
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Calm, capable, and professional under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Confident with Microsoft Office and general admin systems
