This role is essential to keeping our customers' vehicles running safely and smoothly.As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnosing problems, and completing repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
You will also play an important role in preventative maintenance, ensuring vehicles are serviced on schedule and comply with safety and environmental regulations.The role will involve working on a variety of makes and models, giving you exposure to different systems and repair techniques.
You will be expected to use modern diagnostic equipment, follow manufacturer guidelines, and maintain detailed service records.This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys problem-solving.
You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a supportive team that values professionalism and customer satisfaction.Duties & ResponsibilitiesQualified Motor Mechanics must have at least one year of relevant industry experience and be able to:Diagnose and locate mechanical faults in vehicle systems and enginesDismantle, inspect, and repair components such as engines, transmissions, and steering systemsReplace and reassemble worn or defective parts using service manuals as referenceCarry out routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning to maintain performance and meet emissions standardsRebuild and reassemble mechanical systems and test them for correct performanceAdjust and fine-tune repaired parts to ensure optimal functionUse computerised diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues in modern vehiclesInspect vehicles for compliance with roadworthiness standards and, where authorised, issue roadworthy certificates or recommend required repairsRequirementsCertificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification)Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in the automotive industryStrong technical knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and diagnosticsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAttention to detail and effective problem-solving skillsWho Can ApplyAustralian Citizens and Permanent ResidentsApplicants must have valid work rights in AustraliaHow to ApplyIf you are passionate about cars, take pride in high-quality work, and want to join a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
