Leadership Opportunity in Design Development Project Management
This is a high-profile leadership opportunity to oversee the execution of a portfolio of design development projects for Hobart Class Destroyers.
The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and provide strategic technical management and leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. Key responsibilities include ensuring consistent planning and reporting of design scope across the portfolio, identifying scope conflicts and efficiency opportunities, and monitoring the health of the design projects.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in the Australian Defence Industry is required, with a proven track record in managing complex multi-disciplinary design development programs and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Broad experience in various designer roles within design development teams is also essential.
NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this role. A degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software or similar) is highly desirable, as well as Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or RPEQ, INCOSE CSEP, or Defence engineering accreditations.
