Java EE Systems Administrator
Our client is critical infrastructure for Queensland based in Brisbane Northside, looking for a seasoned Java EE Systems Administrator.
The role is fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment supporting vital platforms across development, test, and production landscapes.
You will have deep technical capability across application servers and Linux-based middleware infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, performance, and smooth deployment of enterprise Java applications.
🌐 What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain enterprise-grade application platforms, including WebSphere, WebLogic, and MuleSoft runtimes.
- Provide environment support across all stages of the delivery lifecycle — from development through to production release.
- Perform installation, upgrades, tuning, and patching across Linux (RHEL/SUSE) environments to ensure system stability and performance.
- Oversee configuration and deployment of APIs and services within the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Proactively monitor system behaviour, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate with development and DevOps teams.
- Deliver documentation and ensure system procedures align with governance and operational standards.
👤 Who You Are:
- You bring significant hands-on experience (5+ years) in managing Java-based enterprise platforms.
- You have deep knowledge of WebSphere and/or WebLogic, with proven experience supporting live applications.
- You’re comfortable navigating and scripting in Linux environments and understand the role middleware plays in enterprise architecture.
- You’re detail-oriented, service-driven, and confident working across technical and business teams.
- Bonus points for experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, or monitoring solutions.
