Finance Manager (Retail & eCommerce)
Location: West Hoxton, NSW (Western Sydney), Australia
Compensation: Up to $140k + super for candidates with relevant experience.

Role Description
This is a pivotal opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Manager to drive business performance and support growth initiatives across both physical and digital channels. You will be key in establishing and managing the financial framework of their expanding operations. This role offers more than standard accounting; a proactive leader with strong analytical skills will excel in driving performance, especially in retail margin management, logistics cost control and workforce productivity.
Core Responsibilities
* Financial Integrity: Assume full accountability for the trial balance and financial integrity of the business.
* Planning & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and short‑term cash flow projections.
* Management Accounts: Produce monthly management accounts, conduct variance analysis, and deliver group reporting.
* Commercial Analysis: Deliver detailed analysis and recommendations on margins, supplier rebates, logistics costs and workforce productivity.
* Process Improvement: Drive improvements in stock management, procurement and fulfilment.
* Digital Focus: Monitor and report on e‑commerce KPIs (conversion rates, basket size, online sales growth) and evaluate digital marketing metrics (campaign ROI, customer acquisition costs).
* Leadership: Directly manage and mentor the finance team and engage stakeholders up to board level.
Skills and Experience
* Sector Experience: Proven experience in retail, distribution, logistics and/or e‑commerce businesses.
* Systems: Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI; strong preference for experience with Microsoft Business Central (or Navision), HubSpot, Klaviyo and Shopify.
* Soft Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels, exceptional time management, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
* Qualifications: CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded.
