We are currently seeking Change Managers at all levels to join our Canberra-based team and support high-profile programs across the Australian Government.
The Opportunity
As a Change Manager at Providence, you will work closely with clients and project teams to help people successfully adopt new ways of working.
You will support or lead change initiatives from strategy through to implementation, ensuring change is well understood, effectively embedded, and delivers sustainable outcomes.
Typical engagements may include:
* Digital and ICT transformation
* Workforce and organisational change
* Policy and regulatory reform
* Process improvement initiatives
* Capability uplift programs
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, you will:
* Support or lead end-to-end change management activities
* Conduct stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments
* Develop change strategies and implementation roadmaps
* Prepare communication, engagement, and training plans
* Design and facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions
* Develop readiness assessments and adoption metrics
* Monitor change progress and provide insights to improve outcomes
* Coach leaders and managers through periods of change
* Work collaboratively with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams
About You

Junior Change Manager
You may have:
* Exposure to change management, HR, learning and development, or project support
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Familiarity with change methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR (desirable)
Change Manager
You will have:
* Experience delivering change initiatives within government or complex organisations
* Ability to conduct impact assessments and stakeholder analysis
* Experience developing communication, training, and engagement plans
* Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
* Confidence working with project teams and business leaders
Senior Change Manager
You will bring:
* Extensive experience leading complex transformation programs
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capability
* Proven ability to influence senior executives and key stakeholders
* Experience establishing change frameworks and governance
* Capability to mentor and coach junior team members
Essential Skills and Experience
Across all levels, successful candidates will demonstrate:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities
* Analytical and structured thinking
* Workshop facilitation and presentation skills
* Experience working in consulting, government, or large-scale transformation environments
Desirable Qualifications
* Certification in Prosci, ADKAR, or other recognised change methodologies
* Experience working within Australian Government departments or agencies
* Knowledge of project delivery frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2, or MSP
* Relevant qualifications in business, psychology, communications, HR, or organisational development
Security Clearance
