Role Overview
The Student Support Services team works collaboratively with schools and preschools to provide learner support. The service is time-limited, based on agreed goals in a service plan.
Increasing learner complexity necessitates skills and expertise to identify underlying causes and address needs. This role focuses on supporting children and young people with truancy issues and their families.
Student Support Services value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support children and young people with truancy issues and their families.
2. Develop evidence-based interventions with school staff, parents and the Senior Social Worker.
Requirements
* An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
