Technical Officer - Inspector

As a Technical Officer - Inspector, you will lead in providing technical expertise and support for the effective execution of our program's works. Your proactive contributions will ensure efficient planning, coordination, and delivery of operational and capital activities within time, budget, quality, and environmental standards. Your commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration will strengthen our team and uphold our reputation as a community-focused service organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in the undertaking of asset condition and defects inspections and assessments for all categories of assets managed by the Program.
* Proactive involvement in the planning and provision of technical support to the Program's operations.
* Undertake investigations for the Program's operations including compilation of cost estimates and reporting.
* Take a proactive role in the establishment, review, development and maintenance of Management Systems for the Program' operations
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
* Current General Construction Safety 'White or Blue' Card.
* Current QLD 'C' Class Open Driver's Licence.
* Certificate in Civil Construction or other equivalent qualifications in the civil engineering works field.
* Extensive experience in the delivery of civil works, in particular, roads and drainage maintenance.
* Experience in the use of a maintenance management system including mobile data/defect collection such as DeltaS or similar. Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
* Well-developed skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
* Moderately complex analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
