We’re not looking for someone who can list every AI tool that launched this month. We’re looking for the person who already tested three of them, discarded two, and built a production workflow around the one that actually works.


Who We Are

Havas Village ANZ is building a new AI-powered creative production capability.

We can’t say everything about it yet. What we can tell you: it connects into Havas’s global content-at-scale network and its ecosystem of AI-powered production tools, automation, personalisation, and converged audience intelligence. It’s backed by real investment and a growing international network of Creative AI Directors, workflow specialists, and specialist partners that you will help shape and grow.

And here’s what you need to know about how we’re building it: we’re a challenger brand inside the holding company world, and we love it. While the big production networks consolidate 10,000 people onto single platforms and chase scale for scale’s sake, we’re doing something different. We’re entrepreneurial. We’re fast. We’re deliberately building a smaller, sharper operation where every person knows every switch on the ship.

The philosophy: reduce volume, increase impact. We don’t just produce more. We produce better. And we’re backing that with real tools, real ambition, and a genuine belief that a challenger model can outperform the giants.


The Role

This is a hands‑on leadership role sitting within our in-house production operation, responsible for driving the quality, craft, and culture of AI‑powered creative production across Havas Village ANZ.

You’ll build and maintain the AI creative workflows that power our production outputs and optimise delivery processes. That means working across all of the latest platforms, Havas’s proprietary Vermeer.ai, and the full spectrum of open‑source and commercial tools that are reshaping the industry daily. If it generates, transforms, or accelerates creative and content at scale, you’ll have access to it and the freedom to use it.


What You’ll Do

* Own and evolve AI‑integrated creative production workflows across image, video, audio, and text generation. Build the systems that move work from concept to delivery faster and at higher quality than traditional methods.
* Architect and maintain scalable production pipelines. You’ll be a master of the Havas’s global AI stack and the freedom to experiment.
* Lead AI capability development across Havas Village ANZ production teams. Upskill producers, designers, editors, and creatives. Make AI fluency the baseline, not the exception.
* Stay relentlessly current and tool‑agnostic. Evaluate new platforms, models, and workflows as they emerge. Test. Learn. Discard what doesn’t work. Scale what does. Build a culture where experimentation is expected, not tolerated.
* Collaborate with Havas’s international network of Creative AI Directors, workflow specialists, and Studio AI teams and contribute to global knowledge‑sharing
* Partner with leadership on client‑facing initiatives: capability presentations, workshops, pitch responses, and consultancy engagements that demonstrate the commercial value of AI‑powered creative production.
* Champion ethical, responsible AI use. Navigate copyright, IP ownership, and brand safety with clarity, drawing on established frameworks within the Havas network, including Vermeer’s rights management protocols.


Who You Are

* Deep, hands‑on expertise in generative AI creative workflows. Not just prompting. Building. Weavy nodes, diffusion model pipelines, model training, image‑to‑video workflows, and everything in between. You know the toolchain because you use it daily, and you’re already exploring the next one.
* A creative background: design, motion, post‑production, illustration, 3D, film, advertising, or a hybrid of several. You understand what “good” looks like because you’ve made it.
* Genuinely curious. You’re the person who downloads the beta, reads the research paper, tests the open‑source fork, and comes to work on Monday with an opinion. You’re not waiting for someone to tell you what tool to use. You’re already using it.
* Entrepreneurial. You’re energised by building something new, not maintaining something old. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, fast decisions, and the reality that a challenger operation moves differently to a legacy one.
* A natural teacher. You can make complex technical workflows accessible to producers, account directors, or a room of C‑suite executives. You’ve led workshops, training sessions, or educational programmes in this space and are comfortable in presenting to large audiences
* A strong perspective on AI ethics, bias, copyright, and responsible commercial use. You can hold that conversation with a client, a creative director, or a journalist without defaulting to hype or handwringing.
* Experience in or alongside agencies, production companies, or brand‑side creative teams. You understand production economics: timelines, budgets, client expectations, and the politics of getting new things adopted inside organisations that don’t always move fast.
* 7+ years in creative production or technology, with at least 2 years focused specifically on AI‑powered creative workflows in a professional or commercial context.
* Based in Sydney (or willing to relocate). This role sits within the Havas Village ANZ and requires regular in‑person collaboration.


Even Better If

* You’ve worked with production automation, DAM, personalisation‑at‑scale, or dynamic creative optimisation platforms.
* You have a portfolio, reel, or body of AI‑assisted creative work at a professional standard.
* You know the Australian advertising and production market.
