Join Yokogawa Australia as a Principal Engineer – Project Implementation & Operation and play a key role in delivering high-quality control systems engineering solutions across complex projects. This senior technical role is ideal for a highly experienced engineer with a passion for innovation, mentoring, and driving continuous improvement.


About the Role

As a Principal Engineer, you'll lead and oversee the technical delivery of automation and control system projects, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards. You will be instrumental in planning and executing high-impact engineering strategies, managing technical quality, and supporting project teams through your expert guidance and knowledge-sharing.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure the technical quality and execution of control systems delivery.

Lead the design and implementation of complex control, safety, and electrical systems.

Provide direction and mentorship to engineers, collaborating with Project Managers and Lead Engineers.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation across project teams and engineering delivery.

Act as a senior technical advisor to internal teams, clients, and third parties.

Champion engineering excellence across all stages of project execution.


What We're Looking For

Minimum 10 years in automation or industrial control systems engineering.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Registered on or eligible for the National Engineering Register (NER).

At least 5 years in a technical leadership role.

Deep technical expertise and a strong track record in project execution.

Confident in assessing complex engineering issues and providing sound guidance.

Innovative thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
