About the opportunity We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team at our Pioneers Residential Aged Care home in Longreach. This is a permanent part time opportunity, 3 days per week with working 7:00AM – 3:00PM or 8:00AM – 4:00PM. Weekdays only.
As the Maintenance & Grounds Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Residential Aged Care Homes. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.
- General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves and designing garden layout
- Maintain lawns, gardens and outdoor areas including, mowing, trimming and watering
- Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required
- Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner

To be successful, you will have
- Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
- Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- Current valid drivers' licence
- Evidence of Australian work rights
- NDIS workers Screen (or willing to obtain)
- Flu Vaccination (or willing to obtain)
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations
- A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
