We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to join a leading waste management company. What you'll be doing:
* Assisting and learning from our experienced team of welders, boilermakers, and mechanics.
* Getting hands-on with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment (trucks, excavators, compactors).
* Using hand and power tools to support various maintenance and fabrication tasks.
* Ensuring the workshop remains a safe and tidy environment.
* Running parts and supplies to keep projects moving forward.
What we're looking for:
* A natural mechanical aptitude and a genuine desire to learn.
* A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
* Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but a keen interest in a trades career is essential.
* The ability to follow instructions and be a great team player.
* A commitment to safety in everything you do.
