RV World Wodonga Canberra is experiencing strong growth and is seeking skilled Caravan Technicians to join our Service teams in Wodonga and Canberra. We are looking for qualified or experienced tradespeople across a range of disciplines who are keen to work on modern caravans and RV systems.
Whether your background is plumbing, gas fitting, refrigeration, auto electrical, or mechanical/automotive, this role offers variety, stability, and the opportunity to work across multiple trades in a well-equipped workshop.
About the Role
As a Technician at RV World Wodonga Canberra, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers hit the road safely and confidently. You'll work on a wide range of new and used caravans and motorhomes, completing servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and custom fit-outs.
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in plumbing, gas systems, refrigeration, auto electrical (12V/240V), or mechanical/automotive trades, as modern caravans integrate all of these systems.
Multiple positions are available across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, repair, install and diagnose faults in caravans and motorhomes
* Complete pre-delivery inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and customer-ready
* Diagnose and repair faults across water, gas, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems
* Carry out interior and exterior caravan repairs as required
* Work to job cards, time allocations, and workshop procedures
* Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and compliance documentation
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
* Liaise with customers to understand issues and provide practical solutions
Trade-Specific Responsibilities (depending on skill set)
Plumbing & Gas
* Install, service and repair plumbing systems and hot water units
* Diagnose and repair gas appliances, regulators, and gas lines
* Ensure compliance with relevant gas and safety standards
Refrigeration
* Service and diagnose 3-way fridges, 12V compressor fridges, cooling units, and ventilation systems
Auto Electrical
* Install and fault-find 12V and 240V systems
* Solar installations, lithium/AGM battery systems, DC-DC chargers, inverters, and power management systems
Mechanical / Automotive
* General mechanical servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
* Mechanical aptitude across chassis, running gear, and accessory installations
Skills & Qualifications
Trade qualification or strong hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
* Plumbing
* Gas fitting / Type A appliance servicing
* Refrigeration or appliance repair
* Auto electrical
* Mechanical / automotive
* Caravan or motorhome experience is advantageous but not essential
* Backgrounds in boat building, construction, appliance installation, electrical, or similar trades will be considered
* General mechanical aptitude and willingness to work across multiple systems
