Data Projects & System Support Officer

Clerk Grade: 5/6

Salary Range: $99,938 - $110,271 + superannuation

Employment Type: Temporary (up to 12 months), Full-Time

Location: McKell Building - Haymarket

Data Projects and System Support Officer – Temporary Full time, up to 12 months - Grade 5/6 at the Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC)

About this role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Data Projects & Systems Support Officer to join the Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC). The role plays a key role in supporting the delivery of data-driven projects at the IPC. This role is responsible for providing data analysis of casework, preparing monthly performance reporting, implementing IT enhancements, providing system support and general project coordination to ensure the successful implementation of business improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Your key accountabilities include:

* Conducting data analysis and generating performance reporting and operational dashboards
* Investigating and implementing IT enhancements
* Providing IT support to the organisation
* Delivering high-quality administrative and secretariat support for IT committees, including managing committee logistics and preparing meeting materials.
* Providing project and operational support, including tracking milestones and reporting progress.Maintaining documentation and records to meet recordkeeping requirements and ensure operational manuals are kept up to date.

You are a detail-oriented, analytical individual, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You enjoy turning data into actionable insights and are motivated to support projects that enhance transparency, privacy, and information governance across the public sector.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities, including preparing reports, tables, and graphs.
* Demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects with competing deadlines.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation and support meetings effectively.
* Proficiency in records management and the ability to track and manage workflow efficiently.

Question 1:Please detail your experience in analysing data and preparing performance dashboards including the systems you have used to produce dashboards?

Question 2:Please provide an example of when you were required to provide IT support to an organisation and the steps you followed to resolve an IT issue?

A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
