About the role
Leading a team of Community Support Workers, you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of support services at Tweed Heads Community Service hub. This includes the management of person-centred support programs, service budgets, internal and external stakeholder relationships, and community engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure high-quality services are consistently provided to clients and their families
- Lead and support a team of Community Support Workers
- Oversee and manage daily operations of your support services and, where required, provide direct support to people with disability
- Manage programs within the approved budget and are in line with client needs and support plans
- Provide coaching and developing opportunities, manage conflict and address performance within your team
- Contribute to the growth of Sunnyfield through the development and expansion of your service, client acquisition and retention
About you
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a Team Leader or Service Manager role within the disability sector or related field
- A sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its funding and policy protocols, standards and processes
- Capacity to effectively deliver and monitor service provisions to budget
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient computer literacy skills with the ability to learn new systems
- NSW Working With Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
