Job Description
We are posting on behalf of our client Brownes Foods Operations Pty Ltd, for the position of Production / Machine Operator. About the Business: Community is at the heart of what we do as we collect over 140 million litres of milk each year from more than 50 dairy farming families located in WA's pristine Southwest region. All our Brownes Dairy products are made in WA.
Our CEO is from WA too. We are fiercely protective of our environment, pride ourselves on being a leader in sustainability and our free school tours program sees thousands of school children learn about the benefits of dairy too.
Position
We are seeking experienced Production / Machine Operator preferably within the food manufacturing industry. You will operate and monitor processing equipment and filling machines. This is a hands-on technical role which will require you to adjust process parameters to maintain product consistency and perform in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with production specifications. Our Machine Operators play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are perfect for our consumers.
Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor processing equipment and filling machines.
* Adjust process parameters to maintain product consistency.
* Perform in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with production specifications.
* Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams as needed.
Essential Experience
* Technical Skills: Previous experience working with processing equipment, automation systems, and quality control principles.
* Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 25 kg, and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
* Availability to work day and night shifts
Desirable Experience
* Minimum one year of relevant experience – working in the food processing industry with automation systems, and quality control principles is highly desirable.
* Ability to interpret production data, troubleshoot process deviations, and take corrective actions.
* Previous experience working with CITECT SCADA.

Location: Balcatta, WA • Salary: from $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
