Vertical Scope Group Consultant – Finance Officer (NV1 minimum)
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
About You:
Must hold and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
Relevant qualifications and associated domain knowledge.
Demonstrated experience working with Defence, including financial management activities, such as:
Defence Budget and Finance Framework, including use of Defence Budget Management software (BORIS/TM1).
Defence SAP-based financial systems (ROMAN and ERP).
Procurement and financial-related legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Asset construction methodology within the Defence environment.
ICT Provider Arrangement (ICTPA), Defence Support Services and other Defence Panel arrangements.
Stakeholder and vendor engagement, including senior management.
End-to-end procurement management systems.
Life-cycle experience.
Microsoft Planner or similar Kanban tools.
About the Role:
Budget management: end-of-month accruals, planned commitments, forecast, tracking and reporting.
Preparation of Additional Estimates and Budget Estimates for re-phase investment funds and invoice payment.
Provision of fund availability and financial advice to assist Project Managers, including financial closure of completed projects.
Purchase order management, travel allowance and re-phasing of stale commitments, including write-backs in ERP and Roman.
Compliance with Defence Financial Management Framework policies, procurement, probity, contract management and related legislative/regulatory frameworks.
Education and knowledge transfer to Defence personnel on finance activities.
