Job Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead our civil and environmental infrastructure projects. This is an exceptional chance for you to make a tangible impact on one of Australia's most significant environmental remediation projects.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will provide leadership and technical oversight across complex civil and environmental infrastructure projects. You will ensure technical excellence, budget control, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
You will lead the engineering and technical delivery of civil and environmental projects, including Rum Jungle. Additionally, you will support and deputise for the Project Manager in all aspects of project leadership, oversee procurement, subcontractor engagement, scheduling, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Manage design coordination, technical RFIs, variations, and progress claims
* Ensure compliance with WHSEQ policies, legislation, and best practice
* Mentor graduate engineers and foster a strong safety and performance culture
* Promote process improvement, value engineering, and innovation throughout project execution
The ideal candidate will have a recognised degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline, 3–5 years' experience in major construction or infrastructure project delivery, and proven experience in contracts administration, procurement, and project controls.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership and mentoring capability, excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Project, InEight, Aconex, Procore, or similar systems, solid understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, current White Card, valid driver's licence, and ability to obtain DCSI / Defence clearance.
Experience on large-scale remediation or infrastructure projects, strategic problem-solving and risk management capability, high-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills, proactive and collaborative leadership style, passion for sustainability, innovation, and technical excellence are highly valued.
