The role
Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high quality services at scale.
We currently have an opportunity for a Handyperson join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, with multiple sites to support across the area.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
What You'll Do
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across site and communal areas
- Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
- Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards
What You'll Bring
- Construction White Card
- Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical)
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
- Good time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records
- Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
- Have a Working with Children's check or willing to obtain one
