Accountability is proud to partner with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement who are currently seeking an We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team on a 6-9 month contract basis. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
About the role
* Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase orders.
* Reviewing vendor ledgers and statements, advising on accruals, and reconciling balances.
* Managing overseas supplier payments, maintaining weekly spreadsheets, and updating cashflow reports.
* Overseeing motor vehicle (MV) insurance renewals, claims, and servicing schedules, while maintaining the MV register.
* Handling vendor credits and working with purchasing teams to ensure customer returns are properly credited.
* Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and contributing to process improvements across the business.
* This is a hands‑on role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
About You
* Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
* Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work toward tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Strong ability to deliver accurate and timely results.
