About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified refrigeration technician to support housing construction, maintenance and infrastructure works across Maningrida and surrounding homelands.
This position will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems across BHAC operations in Maningrida and surrounding homelands, including:
* Residential and commercial air conditioning
* Commercial refrigeration in BHAC facilities
* Planned and reactive maintenance across residential and organisational buildings
* Installation, repair and servicing of trade-specific systems and equipment
* Working collaboratively with and mentoring local Aboriginal employees and trade assistants
* Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
* Supporting culturally appropriate service delivery in a remote community context

About You
You will be well suited to this role if you can demonstrate:
* Formal qualifications in HVAC or Refrigeration, such as a Certificate III or equivalent, including valid ARC licence and restricted electrical licence
* Proven experience working as a Refrigeration Technician
* Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and accountability
* Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in remote environments
* A positive attitude and willingness to work hard
* An interest in supporting a local workforce, mentoring apprentices or trade assistance
* Respect for Aboriginal culture and community-led ways of working
* An ochre card or ability to obtain one
* Previous experience working in remote or regional locations will be highly regarded
