As a senior member of the Human Resources team the role will provide strategic advice and direction, translate strategy into operational goals and engage with peers to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement.The Senior HR Partner will take a lead role in supporting their client groups in the development of their workforce plans and ensuring the most appropriate organisational design is in place to deliver on strategy.
The role takes the lead in delivering a range of Human Resource (HR) advice, consultancy and operational services to clients to enable achievement of the University's strategic goals and the objectives of the Workforce Strategy and Operational Plan.
The role will partner with senior leaders to develop a deep understanding of the business and to develop and maintain a deep understanding of their needs and requirements.The Senior HR Partner will also take a lead role in coordinating HR programs/initiatives across portfolios.
This may involve working with HR Partners and HR Consultants to develop, embed and sustain consistent and integrated people management policies and practices.Your key responsibilities will be to:take a lead role in collaborating with peers across the other HR Centres of Expertise, in designing and presenting robust and client-focused solutionsdevelop tailored strategic and operational solutions for executive leaders across your client group spanning areas of talent and succession management, workforce planning, organisational design, reward and recognition and workplace cultureact as the change lead for your client base, supporting with workforce plans and ensuring the most appropriate organisational design is in place to deliver on strategysupport the HR Associate Director in leading initiatives to build capability within the HR workforce which includes effective delegation, coaching and implementation of industry best practice frameworks, technology and processes.About youBachelor's degree and/or an equivalent combination of extensive experience as a senior HR professional within a large and multifaceted organisationexperience providing senior HR support within medical, health or allied health industries is highly desirablesignificant change management and project delivery experience across various HR capabilities and processesa high degree of capability working with and interpreting complex industrial elements, enterprise agreements, awards and relevant policieselevated ability to build and manage trusted client relationships with tact and professionalism at the senior levelexceptional partnering skills as you will be liaising with the wider HR Partnering team and other HR functions to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to service deliveryhighly developed influencing skills in relation to external stakeholders, including government bodies, union groups and university sector groups to drive positive outcomes in the interest of the University.flexible working options to support you to balance your work and familyaccess to fitness passport, as well as discounted rates on university sports and fitness centersstaff study benefit on selected University of Sydney postgraduate coursework studiesonsite healthcare general practitioner (GP) services to all stafftax-efficient salary packaging options for cars, laptops, and additional contributions to your superannuation fundaccess to staff discounts and offers for a variety of products, including University parking and flightsgain the recognition of working in a leading University.Work RightsYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
